- Additional Group 1 2017/18 IHRA Series date announced: 16 October 2017
International Hot Rod Association™ (IHRA) officials have today announced an additional group 1 point scoring event to the 2017/18 IHRA Drag Racing Series schedule. The Meremere Dragway track series meeting, Competition 2, on January 13, 2018 will now count toward the 2017/18 IHRA Drag Racing Series for group 1 competitors only.
The revised 2017/18 championship schedule is now as follows.
